Fees, Payment, Forms
Standard Fees. Fees for services are generally standard $300.00 or $400.00 (see below), however there may be variations. Based on a brief preliminary conversation with Dr. Schumm, via phone or email, the date, time, and fee will be established. Factors that determine cost are size of the wedding party, location, inclusion of a 1 hour rehearsal, and responsibility at reception(e.g., invocation). If the wedding party is more than bride\groom and best man\maid of honor then a rehearsal will be required.
There maybe a rare exception to this based upon location stipulations.
Contract and Payment. When a date and time are agreed upon with the couple and after a non-refundable and non-transferable booking fee ($200.00) and signed contract have been received, we are set to go and the fun begins!!! Contract can be submitted in person or via snail mail or email. Payment can be made in person (cash or check), snail mail (check), or through PayPal. Both contract and booking fee must be received to reserve date and time.

Final, non-refundable payment of the balance is due 90 days prior to wedding. Full payment at the time of booking is required if the wedding contract is signed less than 90 days prior to the wedding.
Forms of Payment. Payment can be made by cash, check (payable to Gerald E. Schumm) or Pay Pal.
Consultation Session.After booking, the process will begin for planning the ceremony at the earliest convenient time. It is recommended that the session take place as soon as possible or no later than 90 days prior to the wedding date. The consultation session is included as part of the total wedding fee. Depending on availability, you will meet face-to-face with Dr. Schumm or communicate via phone/email. To prepare for the session, complete and send the Wedding Information Form.Every wedding is soooo unique and every question is important, so be prepared with any ideas and questions.

Additional Services. Dr. Schumm will be happy to meet with you at an additional fee ($100 per hour) if you desire “Pre-Marital Wedding Counseling”; however, this is NOT required. Dr. Schumm is NOT a proponent of this practice. After forty years of practical experience, research, and defending a doctoral dissertation in the field of pre-marital counseling, he has determined this practice is not necessary; unless, a couple desires to meet with him for this purpose.
